Last july, as I watched the first Playdate Community Direct held by Tiny Yellow Machine, I kept thinking: “Wouldn't it be cool to watch these trailers directly on the Playdate?” And then I thought: “Wait, I do have a video player for the Playdate! Let’s do this!” In september, I reached out to the Tiny Yellow Machine crew to propose a collaboration. And here we are!

The second Playdate Community Direct just ended. And so here is the very first “Playorama × Playdate Community Direct Bundle #1”. It's a gigantic Playdate app featuring more than 40 minutes of trailers. At a whopping 654 Mb, it took me more than 20 minutes to sideload via USB. (And I can not imagine for the life of me doing this over the online sideloading. I'm not even expecting it to work. But if it does, please let me know. If it crashes Panic’s servers and the entire Internet, however, please do not let me know.)

So for those of us who are impatient or have a smaller Internet connection, I made my very own selection of 10 trailers that would fit under 50 Mb. And so here is the very first “Playorama × Playdate Community Direct Bundle #1 - Tiny Version”.

I'd also like to take the opportunity to announce the launch of Playorama’s brand new and very own website: Playorama.app. It's still very much under construction, but I see it as a great way to gather videos encoded for the Playdate in the future. And maybe other surprises as well.
